Bob Cohn, Chairman of the Board

Bob Cohn is a former partner at Sequoia Capital. He was CEO of Octel Communications, a voice mail systems company which he co-founded in 1982 and which was acquired by Lucent Technologies in 1997. He served as an EVP of Lucent Technologies until 1999. Earlier, he held positions at Banque Rothschild in France, and McKinsey & Company in the US and Canada. Bob has been a director of several companies including Electronic Arts and Trimble Navigation. He served on the Board of Governors of NASDAQ, the Stanford University Graduate School of Business advisory board, and was on a CEO advisory board to the Secretary of Defense of the United States relating to issues of management reform in the military. He holds a BS in mathematics and computer science from the University of Florida and an MBA from Stanford. He currently serves on the boards of several companies including Adomo (voice mail), Blue Lithium (internet advertising), Market Live (e-commerce infrastructure), and Tilera (semiconductors).

Jim White, Board Member

Jim White joined Sutter Hill Ventures in 2000 from Macromedia Inc. As the General Manager of Macromedia's Interactive Learning Division he started the division, grew it to over $20M in annual revenue and sold it to IBM Software Group which became part of the IBM Mindspan Learning Solutions Division. Prior to that Jim was a VP of Marketing for Silicon Graphics. In his eight years at SGI he helped to start and build their $1.5B 3D graphics workstation business. Jim started his career with Hewlett-Packard Company in the PC division and was part of the core team that created the Vectra Product line spending time in engineering, sales and product marketing. Jim received a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University in 1984 and an MBA from Harvard University in 1989.
